Hello, my name is Dawn Karlin. I have been involved in swimming since my early childhood. I have taught swimming lessons for Upper Dublin High School’s Saturday morning swim program from the early 1970’s into the 1980’s along with life guarding duties plus substituting for adult lessons and taught swimming to children with special needs

I’ve taught swimming lessons here at Upper Dublin this past spring and summer and will be teaching the Saturday morning group lessons ages 5 and older this year.

My goal is to instill confidence in every student’s ability to save themselves in dangerous situations first when no other help is provided. I emphasize the ability to float and swim on both front and back.

Life saving skills should always be of the foremost importance for anyone learning to swim. I believe swimming is one of the most important things anyone can learn. It will help serve in many years to come. Knowing how to swim is important because it can save lives. This is why I encourage others to learn.
